Discipline Plan

Discipline Plan for Mrs. Prater’s Class

The students in my classroom all follow the same rules, which are
called “Our Lifeskills.” They are as follows:

1. Responsibility - To think before acting and to learn to make good
         choices.
2. Respect - To have positive regard, tolerance and consideration for self
         and others.
3. Personal Best - To use one’s combined lifeskills at all times.
4. Cooperation - To work together toward a common goal or purpose.
5. Integrity - To do what is right even when no one is looking.

As the students rotate throughout the day from their homeroom to other
academic areas throughout the school, a clipboard will follow them. The
teacher in charge of your child at that time will be giving check marks for
misbehavior and incomplete/lack of homework. Students who are not able to
follow the above rules will be given a checkmark for each infraction.
Students who accumulate multiple check marks will miss privledges in/out of
the classroom. If the patterns persist, parents will be notified by phone
call/note home. If serious issues arise, school administration will follow
through with appropriate school related procedures for disciplinary action.
