Miss Lion is from Erie, Pennsylvania, and she graduated from Susquehanna University with a BA in English and Secondary Education.  This year, she looks forward to bringing new projects and activities into the classroom and engaging students in active learning.

Mrs. Thurman is a graduate of James Madison University.  She has been teaching for over twenty years and has certifications in a variety of areas.  She has taught previously in Winchester City Public Schools and Loudoun County Public Schools.  This is her fifth year teaching in King George.

Our mission is to introduce students to various forms and styles of literature, enhance written and verbal communication skills, and foster a sense of community within the classroom environment.
