23 June 2008: To all of the prospective AP U.S. History students, I welcome
you to a challenging and (hopefully) interesting course. Be sure to read the
summer assignment and complete the ACE Practice test on the first chapter of
your textbook.

REMEMBER: the summer assignment is NOT OPTIONAL! If you choose not to do it
this summer, you will have to complete it once school begins - - which,
since you will also be busy with other classes, will make it harder for you.
