About The Teacher

I am a graduate of the U.S. Naval Academy with a Bachelor of Science in 
History, and of George Mason University with a Master of Arts in History.  I 
live in Virginia Beach, and I enjoy tennis, skiing, travel, and reading.  My
two priorities are the progress of my students and achieving the important
goals of our society.  The goals I will emphasize in my class are:
responsibility, truthfulness, a sense of civic virtue, respect for others, 
and self-discipline.

Mission For The Class

For Virginia / U.S. History, we will learn about the unique history of this
commonwealth and of our nation, emphasizing the key contributions many 
diverse Americans have made in making our country great. The year will 
culminate with the Virginia Standards of Learning (SOL) exam.

For AP U.S. History, we will examine our nation's history in great detail,
studying the events, people, and themes important to the development of the
United States. The year will culminate in the national AP U.S. History exam
and the Virginia SOL exam.
