The eggs are approximately 2" long.

The basket is 9" tall with a diameter of 7".

Note: The basket has an inverted bottom which means that there are no eggs in the bottom 2".

How many chocolate eggs are in the duck's home?

His home is about 10" long, 6"high, and 6" across.

How many jelly beans are in the jar?

The jar is 3 1/2 " tall and has a 3" diameter.

The jar is 4 1/2 " tall and has a 2" diameter.

Eggs-pand Your Thinking!!!

All eggs need to be filled with 3 level tablespoons of uncooked white rice and taped shut.

1. Your teacher's roll of tape is 650 inches long. If the circumference of each egg is about 5.75 inches, how many eggs can be taped shut using one roll of tape?

2. If you know that 2 tablespoons equals 1 ounce, how much rice would you need to get in order to fill a class set of 26 eggs? Please give the answer both in ounces and cups.

3. How much rice would you need to fill two class sets?

The 5 lb bags of rice were on a great sale so your teacher bought one. The Nutrition Facts label on the back of the bag says that a serving size is 1/4 cup and there are about 50 servings.

4. About how many cups of rice are in the 5 lb bag? About how many ounces would that be?

5. How many eggs could your teacher fill using that bag?

6. Should your teacher have bought a smaller or larger bag? Explain your reasoning.
