Hi. Welcome to the 2009-2010 School Year and United States History to 1877. This year will be an exciting adventure as we navigate the intriguing adventures and evetns that have transpired during our country's history. This is my sixth year teaching sixth grade. In May of 2010, students will be required to take the SOL Assessment in US History to 1877. Please see the links section for helpful websites to review for the Standards of Learning Assessments.

This year students will be utilizing the Interactive Notetaking process, participating in hands-on map activities, and in class projects to learn how our country developed and has changed over time.
