Math:
Students are working independently in Hands On Equations, Groundworks or
Algebra Labs
Timeline for Science Expo:
(Watch carefully for date revisions! Students have dates in planners.)
4/25 - 5/11 Conduct experiments, gather data, keep anecdotal notes
as conducting experiment
5/11 - 5/28 Create formal data graphs/charts, write data analysis &
conclusion
5/23 - 5/28 Submit data analysis & conclusion. Papers will not be
after 5/28
2 copies - LA & Science
5/30 Final Experimental report due -Pull together all the "pieces"
Students have list in logbooks
5/27- 6/3 Put together display boards. See sciencebuddies.org for
examples and "publication" tips. Samples have also been posted
in the classroom & evaluated for "professionalism"
6/4 Display boards must be finished
6/6 SCIENCE EXPO - Parents invited 1 - 2:30
Social Studies & Language Arts:
We are working (in class) on Civil Rights Anthologies. Students may
donate/loan art supplies i.e. scrapbooking paper, decorative borders,
pattern scissors, etc. to the class (Please don't go out and buy
anything!) Due: June 4
Novel Study (Reddick's Novel Study only):
Continue working on Character Analysis packet. Complete chapter organizers
for ch. 10-12.
