What kinds of volunteer work would I be doing at school?

It's up to you! If you have particular strengths, just let me know.
Parents may work with small groups of children in academic areas, assist
students with research, run copies in the teacher work room, organize
cabinets, inventory and label math manipulatives, find websites that support
units and write questions to guide students through those websites, and
myriad other possibilities!

Is it all right to e-mail the teacher about little things?

Big things, little things, all things, anything! Let's keep the lines of
communication open and dynamic. It's best for the children.
