Usually Monday through Thursday.

How much time should my child spend on homework each night?

No more than 30 minutes. If it takes longer, please let me know. It may
be that the assignments need to be adjusted.

On what days will the teacher/parent communication folder come home?

The communication folder will go home with your child approximately every
two weeks depending on the content. One side of the communication folder
will say "Keep at Home" and the other side will say "Sign and Return".
Please review the tests/assignments and sign each one. They should remain
in the folder and the folder should be returned the next day. Please read
teacher comments and feel free to respond. Your child's performance will be
noted for you.

How may I reach the teacher in the evening if I have a question?

At open house I will provide you with my e-mail address at home and at
school. I will also provide you with the school telephone number, my cell
number, and my home number. I encourage parents to call if they have ANY
question. I feel that open communication between parent, teacher, and child
is vital to a child's success.

What if my child did not have time to finish an assignment?

I am a parent, too. There are nights that sports and other extra-curricular
activities may interfere with homework. Simply write me a note explaining
that your child did not have time to finish the assignment. They may do it
the next night and bring it in to class.

What if my child is going to be absent for several days /weeks due to a trip?

Please write a note and I will forward it to the office. I will try to have
your child's work prepared for them in advance. For those assignments they
missed, that were not given in advance, the students have 1 week from the
time they return to make up the work (unless it is the end of the grading
period).

May I come have lunch with my child?

You may come everyday if you would like. We eat lunch from 12:17-12:47. We
welcome you anytime.

May I volunteer?

I would love it. Just let me know you are interested and I will get you set
up.
