This is my nineth year teaching second grade at O.D.C. I have been in
the teaching field for 20 years and find teaching to be my passion. I
received my Masters Degree from the University of Florida and am certified
in both regular education and special education with an endorsement in
gifted education. I have a husband and a 15 year old daughter who are very
supportive of my passion for teaching. For that, I am very thankful. I was
born and raised in Gainesville, Florida (Go Gators!!!). My hobbies include
gardening, photography, scrapbooking, reading, kayaking, biking and
collecting seashells and rocks from around the world.
The mission for my class is to provide a safe and caring environment
where students are free to discover and explore topics of interest in a
variety of ways based on their particular learning style. The needs of the
gifted child will be met through the curriculum by providing strategies
which incorporate a deeper and more complex understanding of the content.
