 Where can I find ballet shoes?
Stores like Walmart, Penny's, Payless and so on often carry ballet shoes, 
but you might want to call first. There will not be someone there who knows 
how to properly fit the shoes; the shoes should fit more like socks than 
regular street shoes. Ballet shoes can also be found at dancewear specialty 
stores which are listed in the yellow pages. Several give a discount to ODC 
dance students.

 Where can I find an appropriate warm dance sweater or shirt?
Dancewear specialty stores, which are listed in the yellow pages, carry knit 
dance sweaters that hug the body closely. Turtlenecks, "waffle" shirts, or 
any knit shirt that is long-sleeved and close-fitting (especially through 
the waist area)will be fine. We appreciate having solid color shirts.

 Do students who are attending ODC Dance need to audition for next year?
No. They many come to ODC Dance until 8th grade once they have been 
identified.

 Is ODC Dance open during intersession for year-round-schools?
Yes! We follow the calendar for 10-month schools, which can be found on 
www.vbcps.net. Buses will run from the year-round schools to ODC and back; 
however, parents must make arragnements for picking up their child at their 
neighborhood school when the ODC bus arrives.

 My neighborhood school is closed next week. Do I come to ODC anyway?
We run on the calendar for 10-month schools in Virginia Beach public schools 
calendar(not the year-round one). If your neighborhood school is on the 10-
month calendar and is closed for a holiday or staff day, we will also be 
closed.

 Where can I find boys black tights?
They can be found at dance wear specialty stores. Because they can be hard 
to find, we do sell them here at ODC: $8.10 for children's sizes and $10.15 
for adult sizes.

 Where do I get the DVD or video of the 2007 concert?
Call Video Horizons at 464-6262. They are handling all of the orders. Please 
mail your check to them and pick up your order at their office at 1131 
Independence Blvd.

 What kind of make-up do the girls need for the performance?
Brown eye-shadow for light skin, light brown eye-shadow for dark skin; pink 
blush to match skin tone; true red lipstick for everyone.

 What kind of make-up do the boys need for the performance?
Dark pink blush; brownish-red lipstick.

 What hair supplies do the girls need?
One hair elatstic; bobby pins, roller pins or hair pins; invisible hair net; 
lots and lots of mega-hold gel. Light-hold hair spray, mousse or grease are 
not appropriate for performance.
