US/VA History ![]() Welcome to US/VA History's homepage! Below you will find the current unit, project info and chapters of the book. There is also another link on the left panel dedicated to homework for this class, so check that frequently or if you forget. ![]() With a history as enriching and jam packed with goodness, the study of America's glorious past can be somewhat daunting. There is so much material and unique things to experience/study that we can get somewhat lost in thus missing the bigger picture and general themes. This year we will explore from the inception of this great country to present times and have various foci during the year. It is very difficult to study all subject matter in great depth and so some parts of history won't be given its due respect but will nonetheless be given proper study. I am a Southern Historian and have a focus in early America so these topics will be given more time but I hope to keep it close to the other time limits. The main reason I want to study and explore the great beginnings of this country with you is primarily because you have to study the baby before you can the adult, so that you can know it best. I enjoy a similar quote from the movie Hitch, "you can't know where you're going unless you know where you've already been", ain't that right Larry. Enjoy the study of America, this study encompasses our daily lives and our future! Unit:
