I joined the Paul VI faculty for the 2007-2008 Academic Year and am excited
to be returning for 2008-2009. This year I will be teaching Basic Algebra 1
and College Math Concepts.
I am a 1978 graduate of the United States Naval Academy in Annapolis, MD,
where I earned a Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering. I later
earned a Master's Degree in Electrical Engineering at the Naval
Postgraduate School in Monterey, CA.
I served in the Navy for 20 years as a Surface Warfare Officer and an
Engineering Duty Officer. After retiring from the Navy in 1998, I continued
for nine years to support the Navy in weapon systems engineering, primarily
at The MITRE Corporation.
I have been married for 30 years to Mrs. Marilyn Grodek. We have an adult
daughter Maureen with intellectual disabilities who lives at home us. We
also have three adult children who are Paul VI alumni: Bridget '97, Tom '01,
and Stephen '03. Bridget and Tom are each married, and I have four
beautiful grandchildren and one more on the way!
We attend Holy Spirit Catholic Church, where I am a lector and an active
member of the Men's Club and Knights of Columbus. I also serve on the Board
of Directors at Maureen's day support center, on the Fairfax County Human
Services Council, and in various advocacy activities.
I look forward to growing in grace and wisdom along with my students.
God Bless you!
