I want the students to be knowledgeable about the past and to see repeating
trends in history which recur in many modern events. Students will need to
be able to look at events and issues from more than one perspective. I
would love for the students to be challeneged to consider the views of others
with whom they may disagree. However, due to the current political
environment discussion of politics will be strictly discouraged. Students
will also need to learn to be accepting of other races, cultures, and creeds,
in order to become peaceful citizens of the bigger world.
