Freshmen: for the test, please study all the chapters in Part I of Edith
Hamilton's Mythology (Introduction, The Gods, The Two Great Gods of Earth,
How
the World and Mankind were Created, Earliest Heroes). Note that the first
part includes the Introduction. Study the questions
for chapters 1, 2, 3 and 4 that we went over in class. Review the slide show
presentation on the Olympian gods (in the 9th grade documents section of this
page) and study your Olympian gods quiz. I will provide more supplementary
information this evening
2/13/08 I'm back.
IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENTS:
Seniors: be prepared for the poet quiz tomorrow. I will put something up in
the 12th grade documents section by 7 tonight. We will discuss tomorrow the
test scheduled for this Friday.
Freshmen: your vocab quiz is moved to next Tuesday. Your test is still this
Friday. Bring your mythology book and questions tomorrow.
Sophomores: since we drop on Friday and since we did not have a chance to
review today, we will have the test on next Tuesday. We will review for the
test tomorrow, so please bring your book, the Chinese/Japanese packet and any
other material we used in class.
2/12/08
Mr. McGee was involved in a minor car accident tonight. He was not injured,
although it may delay him from coming into school tomorrow. He wants to
inform
you that you should all still be prepared to take tomorrow's quiz. He will
try
to update you with more information later tonight, if possible.
1/29/08
I have updated the handouts section for each class. The Shakespeare
slideshow file is now compatible with 97-95 Powerpoint. The quiz on
Thursday for Seniors will cover up to but not including John Donne.
1/23/08
The internet for some reason is not allowing me to update several of my
pages.
I will attempt again later tonight. 9th Grade CP students should read the
excerpt from Life on the Mississippi, found in the textbook, and answer the
questions that follow.
I still can't modify pages. Hopefully tomorrow.
