Course Description
Welcome to Freshmen Religion. This class is an introduction of the Bible. The purpose of this course is to give students a general knowledge and appreciation of the Sacred Scriptures. Through their study students will come to encounter the living Word of God, Jesus Christ. In this course they will learn about the Bible, authored by God through Inspiration, and its value to people throughout the world. They will learn how to read the Bible and become familiar with the major sections of the Bible. Students will encounter famous stories of the Bible where people have been touched by God and responded in a variety of ways, from the heroic to the simple. From the Christian perspective, these stories and the Hebrew Tradition, which traces the development of God¡¯s relationship with His chosen people, find their fulfillment in the coming of Jesus Christ. Students contribute to the class from various methods of learning.

If you are absent it is your responsibility to get any class material and homework assignment from a classmate or from the teacher. If you are absent when an assignment is collected it must be turned into the teacher the next day you are in school. Homework assignments can be found on my webpage.
If at any time you are having difficulty of any kind, please come and talk with me. I understand that unexpected difficulties, personal issues, demands, etc. come up. Life just happens and we cannot always follow through on our best intentions. Please just let me know.
Early Dismissal For Athletes
If you know that you are leaving class early or will not be present because of a game, please inform me the day before the game. If you miss a test, you must schedule a time with the teacher to make-up the test. I am conscious of the travel time getting back from away games. I will do my best not to schedule a test the day after any freshmen game.
Academic Honesty
I know that you are aware of what is expected of you. Each student is expected to ¡°stay under the shade of your own palm tree.¡± Any violations of honesty will have serious consequences as stated in the Student Handbook.
