My name is Luis Manuel Pazó Alonso. I am from La Habana, Cuba. I have a
Master’s Degree in Education from the University of Havana, Cuba and a
Master’s Degree in Philosophy and Languages from M.V. Lomonosov University in
Moscow, Russia which has been recognized by American Institutions.
This is my fourth year as Spanish teacher at Paul VI Catholic High School and
I have taugh different Spanish levels: Spanish II, Spanish III, Honors
Spanish III, Honors Spanish IV and Honors Spanish V.
I previously worked for two years at Holy Spirit School, also as a Spanish
teacher. I have also taught Spanish in the FLEX program and I have been
teaching Spanish in the Adult Community Education Program in Fairfax County
Public Schools. I am also a GED Examiner at Fairfax County Public
Schools.
I worked as a Spanish Instructor at Exxon Mobil Company and Multilingual
Solutions.
I am married and I have two children: Luis Manuel and Hanna Maria.
It is a big honor for me to be a member of Paul VI Catholic High School and
to teach my native language to new american generations.
General Goal
The goal of the Spanish Foreign Language Program is to educate students in a
language and culture in order to make them knowledgeable and active members
of a global society. Students will learn to use Spanish for meaningful
communication in both spoken and written form.
