documents addressing social justice or some aspect of social justice. I will
give you a worksheet with directions in class. This research assignments is
due on Monday, November 2nd.

Posted: 10/21/09. shortly after we begin the second quarter, I will be
checking your class binders. I have explained throughout the first quarter
how to set-up your binders. One day I will simply say, let me see your
binder. If you have it and it is acceptable, you will receive credit for the
two assignment grades. If you do not have it. You will get a zero grade for
the two assignment grades. So.......bring you binder to class........make
sure that it is set-up according to my directions........What is the first
thing that I should see when I open your binder??????????????

Posted 11/7/09. This week we will start a unit on Immigration. You have one
assignment from this unit. There are four questions on the assignment that I
will give to you in class. If you are absent or lose the handout, the four
questions are:
1. What country did your family come from originally?
2. When did they arrive in the United States (approximately)?
3. What city did they arrive at when they came to the United States?
4. Why did they leave their home country?
This handout will be due on Friday, November 13th.
