| Assignments for October 6th-10th.
1. We will begin the study of the United States Constiution.
You will need a copy of the Constitution IN CLASS.
Obviously, you may find one in many places. If all else fails try the back of
your text book.
2.Test Tuesday October 7th on the notets regarding the writing of the
Constitution, and Article I. ( The Legislative Article).
3. Sixth Written Review due Monday October 10th.
Government Project for First Quarter:
1.You must find five (5) political polls. These may be from newspapers,
amgazines, on line sources or others. The polls you choose, must at a
minimum, address gender, race, economic/social standing, age groups,
education levels, and address good cross sections of American society.
2. You will analyze the data you observe in these polls and conclude which
candidate will win the Presidential election in November.
IMPORTANT NOTE: As you were told in class, it matters little whether you
support the candidate your data supports. If it does fine, if not just as
well.
3. You will write a three(3)page paper in which you conclude who will win the
race based on the polls you studied/analyzed.
4. You will be graded on the strength of your data, your analysis, and your
written essay. THERE ARE NO POINTS FOR YOUR CONCLUSION! If your data supports
Tom Thumb, then by all means, show us why.
5. The paper is due Tuesday October 14th. The paper is to be typed, double
spaced, with normal margins. There will be NO EXCUSES for late papers. Plan
ahead and be prepared. Late papers will be graded one letter grade off for
every day they are late.
