About The Teacher
NAME: Mrs. Beverly Ronald SCHOOL: Paul VI Catholic High School CLASS: DeSales Learning Center SCHOOL PHONE: 703-352-0925 ext 432 classroom ext 352 About The Teacher This is my eleventh year at PVI. For my first ten years I taught Biology and Chemistry (AP, College Prep and Conceptual) in the science department One of my driving motivations is to try to make science concepts understandable for the high school student. I am the mother of five PVI graduates, the first graduating in 1990 and the last in 2003. I was involved in Catholic youth ministry for many years including Work Camp, and coached soccer for both boys and girls at the junior and high school levels for fourteen years. I consider my move to DSLC as the beginning of my third major professional career. The second was a classroom teacher for 11 years, and before that a Supervisor of Clinical Toxicology at the former American Medical Laboratories. I have my M.S. in Clinical Chemistry from SUNY at Buffalo, and my undergraduate degree from D’Youville College in Buffalo.
Mission For The Class DeSales Learning Center (DSLC) provides specialized tutorial support to average and above average students who have a diagnosed mild to moderate learning disability. DSLC teachers closely monitor student academic progress and provide skill reinforcement in most subject areas. Instruction takes place within the context of the academic course load each student has undertaken.
