I have given you some ideas of things you can use for strengths section. Choose 2-3 of the items under the category and put it into sentences using students name and pronouns.
- Strengths: Friendly, appears to enjoy coming to school, many friends, joy to have in class, leader, likes money; eager to participate; can identify names of coins
Under Needs write complete sentences about what the student needs to work on during the duration of the ICEP. What you put in the needs is what you put for short-term objectives. Remember to use the students name and pronouns.
- Needs: difficulty count a group of mixed coins; unsure of how much money to offer for a purchase; doesn't wait for change
You will use the following goal as is written paying attention to the words in parenthesis.
- Annual Goal/ Objectives: ( Students first name) will improve her money math skills to where she can independently perform money related tasks in a practical setting with 80% accuracy on 3/5 times sampled. The following short-term objectives will indicate progress toward this goal. On 3/5 times sampled, (name) will:
- count a mixed group of coins up to $5.00
- offer the correct amount of money using the "Next Dollar-Up strategy for a purchase
- wait for change after making a purchase
