| I kindly ask that you all practice making the Sign of the Cross correctly.
The Sign of the Cross is a beautiful prayer in and all by itself!
I would also like for the students to learn the Memorare, a beautiful and
hugely helpful prayer this year. We will be saying the Memorare at the
beginning of every Math class for the 2008- 2009 school year.
The Memorare
Remember, O most gracious Virgin Mary, that never was it known that anyone
who fled to your protection, or sought your intercession was left unaided.
Inspired by this confidence, I fly to you, O Virgin of virgins, my Mother.
To you I come, before you i stand, sinful and sorrowful.
O Mother of the Word Incarnate, do not ignore my petitions, but in your
mercy hear and answer me.
Amen.
We will also be learning about the seven sacraments, the Mass in detail, and
the Saints. During the months of October and May, we will recite a decade of
the rosary each religion class period. We will be reading about the lives of
the Saints each day also.
The Ten Commandments
1. I am the Lord your God; you shall not have other gods before me.
2. You shall not take the name of the Lord your God in vain.
3. Remember to keep holy the Lord's Day.
4. Honor your father and mother.
5. You shall not kill.
6. You shall not commit adultery.
7. You shall not steal.
8. You shall not lie.
9. You shall not covet your neighbor's wife.
10. You shall not covet your neighbor's goods.
Hail Mary
Hail Mary, full of grace! The Lord is with thee. Blessed art thou among
women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus. Holy Mary, Mother of
God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death. Amen.

O my God, I am heartily sorry for having offended You.
