The Debate Club sent 2 Teams to the WACFL competition this month. They won half of their
debates and were placed agains some top schools such as TJ and Whitman! CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!
We are looking at going to the following competitions:
January 17th @ Chantilly HS (WACFL)
February 20th @ Bronx HS of Science in New York (NFL - WAITING FOR APPROVAL)
March 14th @ Battlefield (WACFL Metro Competition)

located there.
A 3 page handout was given on the PDF format during the 10/22 meeting. Go to the NFL website to
download a copy or see Mrs. Wolf in Guidance.
This style of debate is not about logic. It focuses on quotes from well known sources and
facts. Be able to accurately site your sources - WIKAPEDIA DOES NOT COUNT. However, you can
use WIK to be referred to another reference. Us of the referred reference is acceptable.
New members are always welcome.
