Monday, April 15:

Today we will take the Neo-classical and Pre-Romantic literature test in class.  Please come with a #2 pencil in addition your copy of Frankenstein and your regular class materials.


Tuesday, April 16:

Today we will begin Frankenstein.  The main format we will use to conduct our classes in this unit is the Literary Circle.  All students MUST come prepared: having read, prepared for their literary circles by completing the appropriate Literary Circle Job sheets and printed a copy of the discussion questions for that reading which will be discussed in your literary circle groups.  Any student who does not come prepared will not be allowed to participate in literary circles and will receive a ZERO for participation for that class day in addition to the zero for the late work. 


Wednesday, April 17:

Please review the Literary Circles information handout and consider what jobs you would like for the unit.  Also, please read and annotate Letters 1-4 in Frankenstein,  and print a copy of the discussion questions for Letters 1-4 to discuss and answer  in class.


Friday, April 19:

Today you will conduct your first literary circles for Letters 1-4.  Please come prepared with ALL of your class materials including your Frankenstein text, your completed literary circle job sheets and your printed copies of the Letters 1-4 discussion questions.




Monday, April 22:

Please read Frankenstein Ch. 1-4 and prepare your literary circle jobs to share and submit for credit and print a copy of the discussion questions for Ch. 1-4 to discuss in today's class.Also, Discussion Directors must post the Letters 1-4 DQ to the www.turnitin.com discussion board by 7:45 AM today.
