September 8: What is your favorite class/subject in school and why?

September 11: Why do you think this day is now called Patriot Day? 

September 16: Write about what it means to be an American today vs. what it 
meant 100, 80 or 60 years ago.

September 18: Write about what type of parent you think you will be.

September 19: Retell a compliment that someone recently paid you. Explain 
how that compliment made you feel.

September 22: What is the best movie you have seen in the past year? Explain 
why you think so.

September 23: Write about a goal or hope you have for the future. Explain.

September 29: The great architect Frank Lloyd Wright once said, "Television 
is chewing gum for the eyes."  What do you think he meant?

October 2: Do you believe in superstitions? Why or why not? 

October 21: What was the best Halloween costume you had as a child and why?

October 22: What is the hardest decision you have ever had to make?

you're not good enough. On occasion, some may be correct. But do not do

a time in your life when you experienced this type of thing.

October 31: Write about a time when something spooky happened to you.

November 4: If you could travel through time, what period in the past or the 
future would you like to visit? Explain your choice.

November 6: Imagine that 10 years from now you have a high profile career 
and are being interviewed. The interviewer asks you who other than your 
family made a difference in your life when you were a teenager and how that 
person inspired or helped you. Write about who/what you think the answer 
would be.

November 11: Write a "thank you" note to our veterans.
