Week of February 20 - February 24, Monday-Friday : All Subjects See Student's Agenda Book. Monday is President's Day. No school.  

READING: We will be starting our new story, Across the Wide Dark Sea. Practice spelling test on Tuesday.Get the PRACTICE TEST Signed. Get SPELLING list and VOCABULARY list SIGNED.

 MATH:   We begin our new unit on GEOMETRY (Plane and Solid Figures). We start with being able to name and identify the characteristics of the PLANE Figures: Square, Rectangle, Circle, Triangle, Pentagon, Hexagon, Octogon and Decagon. We then move to naming and identifying SOLID Figures: Cube, Rectangular Prism, Square and Triangular Pyramids, Triangular Prisms, Cylinder, Cone and Sphere. Please see your child's MATH Packet and help him/her each night.

 SOCIAL STUDIES: We begin our new topic on ECONOMICS. We are studying about Resources, Producers, Goods, Services, Economic Choices and Opportunity Costs. Needs vs. Wants. Please Help your child each night with their Study Guide and SIGN it each night.
                                                                                         
 SCIENCE:  We are starting our new topic on Earth/Space Systems and Cycles. Please help your child with their Study Guide and sign it each night.
