Welcome Parents and Students!!!In preparation for the upcoming SOLs in May, we are implementing small groups for the remediation sessions. Homework will be designed to reinforce the topics being remediated. Please contact me if you have any questions. Reading- Students will be reading a short novel with their group. Ms. Norton's group- Stone Fox / Ms. Booker's group- Freckle Juice. Students will use their skills they learn in comprehension. Example: Fact/Opinion, Creating questions from the text. Math- We are reviewing fractions, multiplication, division, and rounding. Please practice multiplication fractions with your child. Science- We have finished our unit on solar systems! Students will work with their partners to write a report on their choosen planet. They will present their oral report to the class. Also during this time of the season you can balance brooms and eggs. Give it a try!As you can see we have a lot of fun things going on this week!Just a reminder.....The night before benchmarks, make sure your child have a full night rest AND a balanced breakfast in the morning! As the weather becomes warmer please make sure your child dresses according to school dress code! As always it's a pleasure to teach your child!
