WELCOME!
I want to welcome you and your child to First Grade! Parents are a VITAL part of their child's education. I am asking for your dedication and assistance every night. Research shows that additional help at home for just a few moments a night can foster better grades, a positive attitude, and boost self-confidence.
Ways to help:~give a practice spelling test the night before the test!
~read together for 20 minutes and periodically ask question such as, "who were they talking about in this sentence", "what color was Sally's dress", and "how many miles did the rocket travel"
Reminders:
*daily snack (HEALTHY)
*review, help, and sign with homework
*make sure your child has all school supplies
*please bring purple folder daily
*homework packets are due each Friday
*weekly reports are sent home each Friday
