Class Notes:
Evaluation
All projects carry a point value of 10 points per day. Therefore,
longer assignments will be worth more (50 points/week). You will also
receive points for participating in critiques, classroom clean-up and
maintaining progress on your assignments.

When we discuss each new project, I will introduce the rubric for
grading. The rubrics are posted on the wall. Grades are usually based
on variations of outcome and effort. At the end of the project, you
will evaluate and comment on your work using this rubric. I will
determine the final grade on each project. MISSING ASSIGNMENTS
SUBSTANTIALLY DAMAGE YOUR GRADE.

Atmosphere
A supportive environment is critical to every artist. We need to
maintain an atmosphere in which each person and his/her work is
treated with respect. Be mindful of other people’s feelings. You do
not need to adore everyone but you do need to treat each student with
courtesy.

Materials
Our art budget does not provide for all the necessary items. Please
return the $10 donation form as soon as possible.

This is a community classroom, which means that all students will
share materials with other art classes. We need to keep a clean,
functioning working environment for everyone. Your class period will
gain or lose points based on how you leave the classroom.
Clean up and work ethic grades will be given weekly.
