Due to the nature of the class, you should be reading and reviewing any
material being covered in class. At any time, there could be a quiz on any
material that we are currently covering. You should be reading "ahead" not
just reading when you have homework.
JOURNAL ANNOUNCEMENT: I will be collecting your journals after the
Thanksgiving break. This should give you enough time to get it in order.
You should use the "Journal Entry" sheet or document from the website for
each article starting with the first week of October. You should have one
article per week since the beginning of Oct up to the week of Thanksgiving.

Journals will be due on Thur December 4th.

2. Complete Review questions 1-10 on page 107. 11 - 20 won't be due until
Monday (12/7) of next week.
You will have a quiz on the terminology in the first two sections of
chapter 5; 5-1 & 5-2. Include the "italicized" words. The directions
#1 said to define the "bold" words but there aren't many of them. You
don't need to go back and define the "italicized" words, but you should
know them from the reading. Make sure to also read the highlighted
sections.

HW: Study for test. As of 12:00 pm Sun, I am still working on the test.
It is my intention to have about 20-25 multiple choice and
several written sections. I will have several short answers that deal
with each of the following topics. There is limited basic information
for this test. Most of it is understanding concepts and being able
to communicate that knowledge. You need to make sure that you read
chapter 6, sections 1 & 2 as well as chapter 17 section 1. Make sure
to read over all figures and their associated captions. Some of the
questions will come from material specifically in the chapters.
-What causes weather? Fronts? Pressure systems?
-How do winds form? Including how they are named.
-Factors that affect climate/weather.
-Interaction of the lithosphere, hydrosphere and atmosphere to
create weather.
-Causes and effect of El Nino.
