Hello. My name is Jill Blankenship. I am beginning my sixth year of
teaching at Riverview Elementary Middle School this year, with a total of
eight years teaching experience. I received an Associates Degree in Early
Childhood Development from SVCC, I then continued my education at Virginia
Intermont College with a Bachelor Degree in Interdisciplinary Studies
graduating in December 2003. In May 2009 I completed my Master's Degree
in Library Media Specialist through Radford University. This year, I achieved
a goal of becoming a teacher consultant through the Appalachian Writers
Project. I am a married, mother of three beautiful girls, ages 7 to 12, I
enjoy reading,writing and spending time with my family.
My goal for my class is to create an environment that is loving,
encouraging, safe, and educational. I want all children to know they are
special and can dream big dreams.
