Monday SOL: 3a & 3c
Class will review the meaning of citizenship, the ways to become a citizen and some of the responsibilities of a citizen.
Students will discuss the meaning of the term duty
Students will make list of the duties of citizens and brainstorm consequences of not fulfilling those duties
 
Tuesday SOL 3d
Class will discuss the difference in a duty and a responsibility
Students will view a list of the responsibilites of a citizen and discuss each
Students will write a two paragraph essay that answers the following questions: Which of the responsbilities listed is most important? Why do you think it is?

 
Wednesday8d(review) 3b
Students will reivew the 1st amendment freedoms
Student will read the handout "In re Gualt"
Class will list the elements of the case they felt were not fair
Class will discuss the 14th amendment and how it extends the rights of citizens.
 
 ThursdaySOL 3e
Students will brainstorm a definition of community service
Students will discuss ways in which a person can become involved in the community
Class will discuss way in which the class as a whole can become involved in the community 

 
Friday SOL Review 3a-e
Students will complete WINTK 3b ,3c,3d, and 3e.
