Happy May!  Just over one month go to.  The year has flown by!

Next week is a busy one for 5A.  Monday there is a noon dismissal for 
students.  Teachers have a meeting.  That night is St. Timothy night at the 
Chantilly ChickFilA.  Please be sure to attend.  Tuesday there will be Vocab 
and Math tests.  Wednesday fifth grade will have its annual Cinco de Mayo 
celebration.  Students may wear their PE shorts or jeans with a red, white or 
green shirt.  They will take part in many activities and will enjoy a 
delicious taco lunch.  Thursday there will be Reading and Grammar tests, and 
Friday Spelling and Religion tests.

5A Specials include:  Monday-- Library 9:25, Tuesday -- Computer 10:20, 
Spanish 
1:25, Wednesday -- PE 9:25, Thursday -- Art 8:30, Spanish 1:25, Friday-- PE 
1:25.

Here is what we are currently working on:

Religion: Chapter 26

Grammar:  Punctuation

Math:  Chapter 12

Vocabulary: No chapter this week.

Reading: Andy's Secret Ingredient

Spelling:  Weekly Word Sort

Social Studies:  Latin America -- the Caribbean
