About The Teacher

Mrs. Salmon
English 10 and 12 Classroom Expectations

Be on time. You must be in your seat and ready to work when the bell sounds.

Be Prepared. Bring your textbook, binder, paper, and ink pen everyday unless
instructed otherwise.

Be Respectful.. This includes the teacher, fellow students, and school property.

Do not line up at the door awaiting dismissal. Remember, I dismiss you not
the bell.

Start of Class
1. Turn in homework to appropriate tray/stack.
2. Copy down all homework assignments.
3. Complete warm-up activity as indicated on the white board.
4. When finished, wait quietly in your seat until the teacher gives you
further instructions.

1. If you enter class late, excused or unexcused, enter quietly. *Do not slam
the door, leave the door open, announce your arrival to friends and neighbors
or walk in front of a teacher (or a student) who is speaking.
2. If you have a note, place it on your desk. Sit quietly and glance around
to see what your classmates are doing. Never just assume since you came in
late (excused or unexcused) you are not responsible for the activities you
have missed or are in progress when you enter. You are responsible!
3. If your tardy is excused and you are unable to complete work in that
class period this means that you will have to stay after school to make up
the work.
4. If your tardy is unexcused and you are unable to complete work in
that class period you will receive a zero for the activities you missed.

Bathroom/Hall/Personal Business Passes
1. Tabb High School agenda is necessary for hallway passes.
Students should take restroom / water breaks between classes.
Passes are granted only after all work is completed.
*Take care of personal business during lunch or between classes.

Homework/Project/Paper Policy
Homework:
1. Homework is due at the beginning of class
2. It should be completed in its entirety. However, credit will be given on
a percentage basis. For example, if you correctly complete half of the
assigned homework you will receive a 50/100. A 50% is a lot better
than a 0 !

Research Projects/Papers:
All projects/papers are due on the specified dates given at the time
they are assigned.
