Homework

My students are expected to read on a nightly basis for 15 minutes.  Parents 
need to ask their child about what they read.  Who?  What?  Where?  When?  
How?  are great questions to begin with.  This helps them with comprehension.
Monday-Thursdays (except specific weeks in which we do not have a full week) 
the children will have spelling homework.  The homework is provided on 
Monday and needs to be completed by Friday.  They will also have Math 
homework on these nights, but I give that to them at the end of the day 
depending on what we were able to accomplish in class that day.  
Science and Social Studies homework will come home randomly.

PLEASE CHECK YOUR CHILD'S HOMEWORK LOG EVERY NIGHT!  THERE MAY BE CHANGES TO 
THE HOMEWORK IF WE HAVE SOMETHING ELSE GOING ON IN CLASS OR A HOLIDAY.  You 
may also write me notes in this as well.  However, tell your child to show 
me when you write it so I can respond in a timely manner.  Please do not 
have them do homework in these notebooks.  They tend to fill up real quick 
and I am trying to save you from buying more notebooks.  Thank you.
