Daily Homework
Reading: Read for 20 minutes each evening, including weekends. Students
are expected to update their reading logs daily. All reading logs are due
at the end of each month. A parent’s signature is required upon completion.
Spelling/Word Study Vocabulary
· Monday: Write spelling words 2 times each in the weekly word pattern
sort. Word sorts will be done as a class activity and written in categories
under proper keywords in student’s spelling journal.
· Tuesday: Choose 10 words and write sentences using these words in
your spelling journal.
· Wednesday: Write the words in alphabetical order.
· Thursday: Study for word test and edited sentences on Friday.
· Friday: Spelling words will be given orally and student will write
the spelling word in the correct word pattern sort. One point will be given
for correct spelling and one point for placing it in the correct word
pattern sort.
Math, Science and Social Studies: Please check your child’s assignment book.
