| Every student in our classroom community will have the chance to be the
very special "Eagle of the Week!" This has been a fun, engaging way to give
each child a chance to feel "extra" special and allow his/her classmates to
learn a little more about him/her. There will be some added benefits to
being the featured Eagle, including the chance to be Line Leader for the
week and an opportunity to share something special with classmates each
day.
Monday--Eagle of the Week Poster: The Friday before each Eagle's big week,
he/she will bring home a blank poster template to create and bring to class
on Monday. Be sure to include photos or hand-drawn pictures of important
things in the Eagle's life (ex. family, pets, vacations, favorites, etc).
Our honored Eagle will have the chance to share the poster on Monday with
classmates. In addition, this poster will be hung right outside our
classroom door to share with the whole Marshall Community!
Tuesday--Favorite Picture Book: Our Eagle may bring in a favorite
picture/story book to read to the class. Mrs. Lawrence will be happy to
read it instead,if the Eagle prefers!
Wednesday--Show and Share: Our Eagle can bring in a "something special" to
show and share with the class. It can be a favorite book, stuffed animal, or
toy. In addition, parents may also send a small treat or goodie to share
with the class during lunchtime. There are currently 20 students in our
class.
Thursday--Lunch Buddies: You are cordially invited to join your Eagle in the
cafeteria for lunch on Thursday! Siblings or a favorite relative are also
welcome. If you are unable to make it during our lunch time (11:30 -
12:00pm), please let me know ahead of time, and I can plan a special lunch
for your child and two friends. (Note: If Thursdays are inconvenient, but
another day could work better, just let me know. I'll be happy to work with
you to adjust the schedule.)
