     Hi! My name is Mrs. Mello. This is my second year at Trantwood 
Elementary and my eighth year as a teacher. I have earned my Masters in 
Teaching from Virginia Commonwealth University and earned my Education 
Specialist Degree from Old Dominion in 2006. Although I am state certified 
in 
administration, I WANT to be in the classroom! I am looking forward to 
working with the fifth graders and their families. I believe that we can 
make 
this year full of SUCCESS!
     In order to achieve success, the fifth graders and I will need to work 
together and work hard. I am excited to have the opportunity to work with 
the students and am eager to work with each of their families.

     Hi students!  I am Mrs. Smith.  This is also my second year teaching at 
Trantwood.  I earned my Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education with 
a minor in Special Education from Old Dominion University.  I will be your 
math and science teacher this year.  
     We will be doing many hands-on activities in class this year, so get 
ready to learn and have fun!  I can't wait to meet you!
