I did'nt write my homework down.  What should I do?
Do parents need to sign the homework planner nightly?
Should I help my child with homework?

My child says he/she has no homework.  Could that be true?

I need to leave a message for my child's teacher.   What do I do?

Call a friend.
Use a homework pass if you have one.
Get it completed as soon as you get to school.

Please know that your child is given ample time to copy down homework each 
day.  I go around and most of the time initial the planner.

YES!  This is an important form of communication between home and school.  
No 
need to sign on Fridays though since there's no HW!

Be there for them if they have questions.  Let them know that you are aware 
of what the assignments are.

Yes, that is why it is my policy to give the number out!  I do appreaciate 
that you not call after 9:00 PM.

You can expect homework Mon.-Thurs., and if there is no homework it should

noted in the planner.

 I need to leave a message for my child's teacher.   What do I do?
We have an awesome new phone system at school.  Just call the school's main 
line 496-6777 and if the teacher is not available, please leave a message.  
We all have voice mail now!!  My extension is 55046.

 I would like a conference with Mrs. Birdwell.  Do I have to wait until Nov.?
Absolutely not!  I am available all year long to conference with parents 
whenever they feel it necessary.  Just give me a call, or send me an e-mail 
and we'll set an appt. time!
