I completed my undergraduate degree at James Madison University in Health
Sciences. I have a Bachelor of Science degree with a concentration in
Health Assessment and Promotion and a minor in Exercise Leadership. I
worked at the Virginia Beach Health Department and coordinated the
Cardiovascular Health Promotion Program for a little over 3 years. In this
position, I was able to teach health classes to children. It was at that
time that I realized my true passion is teaching young children! I decided
to go back to school and get my teaching certification in Elementary
Education from Virginia Wesleyan College. I am so happy that I made the
change!! I absolutely love every day in the classroom with my students!
