He will address "The Art and Science of Teaching" which supports balanced assessment. His keynote will discuss using scientific data to assess students as well as anecdotal data which he refers to as the "the art of teaching." He will also offer a break-out session on differentiating word study which relates to addressing individual needs. Other speakers from throughout the district will offer break-out sessions focusing on many different aspects of literacy from K-12.  </span></div>
