WORLD HISTORY I: Our mission for World History I is for students to gain an
understanding of World Cultures and major historical events. Also, we want
students to pass the VA SOL EOC on World History Itest with a proficient
score or better.
AP HUMAN GEOGRAPHY: The purpose of the course is for students to understand
how humans interact with their environments and how geography influences
everything that humans do in their daily lives. We also want the students
to pass the Advanced Placement End of Course exam with a score of Qualified
(3) or better.
PRE-IB WORLD HISTORY/AP WORLD HISTORY: Our mission in the Warwick High
School IB Program is to provide students with the skills and rigorous study
necessary to compete in the international community. As a Pre-IB teacher,
my aim is to provide students with the writing and reasoning skills
necessary for success in future International Baccalaureate classes. The
World History I and II course covers modern history from Pre-History to
1990; this allows students to determine the importance of today's events in
the scope of world history. The students will complete two end of the year
tests for World History I (at Mid-term) and World History II (at the end of
the year). The students will also take an AP test for World History at the
end of the school year. The hope is for students to pass with a 3 or better!
