About The Teacher

Dear Students and Parents

I can't tell you how pleased I am to have the opportunity to participate
in your education. I am an Army veteran and a retired flight
attendant who decided that teaching would be a great third act for my
life. I graduated from Christopher Newport University with a degree in
History Education. Hampton and Newport News have been my home for over 10
years now.
I am a wife, and mother who loves to bake, decorate cakes, read historic
novels, scrapbook, and spend time with my family. I am also a music
enthusiast of all genres. I love jazz, rock, pop, country, alternative,
old school rap, gospel, contemporary christian, new hip-hop (as long as
it's clean), classical, Broadway show tunes, new age, smooth R&B, and even
a little bit of bluegrass. My eclectic taste in music is further
reflected in my choice of eras. I like music from almost every decade.
My family loves to go see to live bands perform. By including our
daughter she has developed a diverse love for music as well.
We try to attend at least four concerts a year. We also love to travel
and we enjoy experiencing new things together as a family. Hopefully, I
have given you a small glimpse of what kind of person I am. I can't wait
to meet you. I am looking forward to teaching all of you, and I hope we
will have a fun productive year.

Quote to Ponder: A quote that has been a tremendous jewel in my life

“Three things you cannot recover in life: the WORD after it’s said, the
MOMENT after it’s missed and the TIME after it’s gone. Be Careful!” –
