How do the Reading Logs work?

Students are expected to read for a minimum of 300 each month to be able to
come to the READING PARTY. Sign date and record the number of minutes your
child read. I know how busy our lives can get sometimes so if you miss
anight, don't worry. As long as the goal of 300 minutes has been met, your
child goes to the party!

What if my child is absent?

I will do my best to catch your child up on the missed concepts. Any work
your child misses will be placed on their desk and sent home when they
return to school. Homework will be due the next day. If your child is
absent 2 days, they have 2 days to make up the work etc.

Is it true that sometimes my child may not have homework???

YES, homework is directly related to daily classroom instruction. It is
always a review of material taught in class. If I do not get a chance to
teach a particular subject, I will not send that subject's homework home.
If you ever have any doubt you can call me at school.

What is the Student Reference Book?

The Student Reference Book is an awesome resource!!! I just love it!!! It
provides students and parents with instant "help" with Home Links and
chapters are aligned with our units of study. Students are to keep it in
their bookbags at all times.
