Homework:
The students are not required to return any homework. However, the reading
logs are sent home weekly and it's the expectation that all students are
reading at least 10 minutes a night. I do keep a record of who is returning
the reading logs and for every 5 reading logs passed in the student will
receive a reward of their choice. There is no consequence for students not
returning the logs.
Weekly math sheets have also been going home. These sheets are not required
to be handed in, however, when students return homework it gives them a sense
of importance, responsibility and is good practice which should become a
habit. This is an opportunity for you to see what and how your child doing in
class.
