PANIC:)
In our effort to encourage school and home reading, we have assigned
each student a point goal for Accelerated Reader, based on his/her
individual reading level. Each student will read books at an appropriate
level, take tests on our computers at school, and earn points toward his/her
goal by a specific deadline. We will assist the children in finding level-
appropriate books at school to take home and read, but be sure to check the
website library link to find a list of available A.R. books, levels and
points. Have fun reading!
Accelerated Reading folders will be coming home, beginning this week,
as a part of our weekly homework. Students will record their 15 minutes of
reading each night in their folders. Please look over the goal sheet with
your student and help them pace their reading to achieve their goal by the
end of each goal period.
When students are ready to take an A.R. test, please send the book with
them to school. Folders with the recorded weekly reading should be returned
each Friday with homework. Students will color in the goal thermometer each
Friday with points they have earned!
