About The Teacher
2009-2010 will be my thirty-first year of teaching! I taught the first twenty-six years in Burbank, Washington. I left Burbank to teach third grade at Jason Lee Elementary in Richland in order to be closer to my home. Although I definitely enjoyed my year at Jason Lee, I found that I missed the middle school level student and for that reason requested a transfer to Carmichael Middle School three years ago. I absolutely love teaching math at Carmichael! My experience includes all grade levels from kindergarten through eighth grade. I received my bachelor's degree from Washington State University in 1978 and my master's degree from University of Phoenix in 2000. I live in Richland with my husband, Mark, and Cassie (the cat). Shauna, my daughter, is 27 and taught at Carmichael three years ago. She now lives in Montana with her husband. Their first child is due September 1st! Of course that means I am going to be a grandmother soon! She has also lived and taught in Japan. Randy, my son, is 24 and a student at WSU pursuing a business degree. Teaching, reading, scrapbooking, cooking, walking and watching WSU sports are some of my favorite things to do. Go COUGS!
