Mission Statment

We live in an isolated rural community. The economy of our community has
been severely impacted by the decline in the timber and fishing industry.
The closest park or playground for families to enjoy is thirty seven
miles away. Our mission is to provide a safe and healthy environment for
the kids of our school and community. We wish to promote multi-generational
activities which stimulate imagination and physical growth. Play equals
learning, it not only develops coordination, balance, muscle development and
overall health, play can increase knowledge, retention and concentration,
too. In the age of DVDs and video games our children need healthy
alternatives to build social skills and positive play.

Our Goal

It is our goal to provide the communities of Clallam Bay and Sekiu with a
safe place to play. We wish to replace the existing playground with updated
equipment that is both safe and appealing to a wide range of ages. In order
to accomplish this goal we need to raise $45,000.00. We are confident that
through local fundraisers as well as support from individuals and businesses
from our community, across the county and the state we will achieve this
goal.
