Twilight by Stephanie Meyer is still going strong, and many kids are still reading it or just getting started. It is a FANTASTIC series...unfortunately; I believe it was intended for a higher Middle School/High School read. Although the two main characters do not become intimate, they have a very intense relationship that may not be appropriate for younger students. As the series progresses, there are suicide issues, and the relationship intensifies even more. In the final book, the characters get married…and without giving it away…it really does not belong in the hands of a grade school age student. J
Having said this, I am asking that any student below the 8th grade that is interested in reading this series bring a note to me signed by a parent or guardian.
