Years of Experience: I began teaching in 2004. Prior to teaching I worked as
a Para-educator (teacher’s aide) for 8 years. In addition I’ve coached
junior high girls basketball and was the assistant coach for the high school
volleyball team.
What Drives Me: The belief that anything is possible with imagination and hard work. I want all my students to see themselves living the life they dream of and then imagining the steps it will take to get them there. My job is to provide them with the tools necessary to meet state standards; but more importantly, develop their learning & communication skills in order for them to be that much closer to their dreams.
This and That

Reading brings me peace, adventure, hope, joy, knowledge and so much more.

Favorite color is blue.

I love, love chocolate.

I grew up with dogs and cats but I’m more of a dog lover.

I dream of traveling to Europe so I can be awed by the
architecture.

Whether it’s a movie or a television show you might see a tear.

If pizza suddenly disappeared forever I wouldn’t miss it.

I’m known for moving the furniture (every year the classroom is “modified”).

Working in the yard challenges me so every year I tackle a new project.

Some day I hope to be a landscape designer,

photographer, interior decorator, classroom management consultant…one step at a time. First I must become an effective teacher.
